Electrical / Control Engineer - Shropshire - Special Purpose Machinery - Permanent - GBP35-40k DOE

Samuel Frank Associates require an experienced Electrical / Control Engineer to join a very well established special purpose machine manufacturer in Shropshire. The client has recently moved to larger premises to enable them to meet growing demand. They're extremely busy and are set to have another strong year in 2018.

In terms of the role, the key aspect is Hardware/Electrical design, experience of designing Electrical systems using AutoCAD would be preferred but applicants with knowledge of EPLAN will be considered too. Applicants will need to have some PLC programming experience but you may not consider yourself an expert. Candidates who can program on a range of platforms from scratch will be very useful though but the role could be weighted towards the Electrical design.

This position will suit an individual looking to spend the majority of their time based at one fixed location/place of work. The client estimates 90% of time will be based at their production facility in Shropshire.

The successful hire will be involved in design work, component selection, electrical wiring schematics and panel/wiring drawings. The client supplies services to customers working across multiple sectors within automation so knowledge of factory automation, systems for production lines, special purpose machinery, bottling plants, and/or materials handling projects will be heavily advantageous.

The successful hire will also be involved in producing Bill of Materials, FDS, risk assessments, integration/test and documentation. Some site based commissioning could also be involved.

A basic knowledge of the Machinery Directive and CE assessment is would also be really useful.

Hardware/Electrical Design knowledge - preferably AutoCAD (or EPLAN)
Special purpose machinery background
Knowledge of the Machinery Directive/CE assessment
PLC programming from scratch - Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley

The client's premises or based in Shropshire and are easily commutable from Stafford, Stoke, Wolverhampton, Telford, Shrewsbury, Kidderminster and Cannock
